Location

POOLE TOWN - Quayside, shops, historic Old Town, boat trips, events, theatre and much more.... Poole Town lies approximately 6 miles west of Bournemouth and is highly accessible both by car and by train – the station is moments from the main shopping area. Poole is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful country of Dorset, its stunning beaches and its Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site. For cultural events, the Poole Lighthouse theatre and concert hall offers a dazzling array of dramatic productions and music, and is home to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Shopping facilities in Poole focus around the Dolphin Shopping Centre and the pedestrianised High Street, interspersed with cafes and coffee shops for well-earned refreshment. A stroll down the High Street leads visitors to Poole Quay, and the multitude of bars and restaurants offering an excellent array of culinary choice. Once replete, why not walk off lunch with a stroll on The Quay and along the harbourside path at Baiter? The beauty of Poole Town is that all of these attractions and facilities are within easy walking distance of each other. Whilst Poole Town is an excellent base for beaches and for exploring the beauty of the Dorset countryside, there is no shortage of things to do and see on its very doorstep!

The house is very well designed and spacious. On a rainy afternoon when we couldn't go out, we just spend a good time in the lounge. There are toys and games in the house to keep us entertained. It was properly cleaned at the time we arrived. It is so important because we have a toddler who likes to run with bare feet and a baby who's crawling around. The host responded to us promptly and fulfilled our requests throughout the stay. The beds are comfy and there were enough towels and pillows. Location is perfect if you are going to explore bournemouth and other parts of dorset (and brownsea island) because there is a bus stop right in front of the house and the ferries are just 10mins walk away. Restaurants near the harbour are very good too. Price may seem high but it's actually very reasonable considering there are three double rooms with a good size kitchen and a living room. Highly recommenced!

Communication was excellent, the on-line pack had clear instructions for check-in & lots of recommendations for things to do & places to eat locally. Central location with great views & spotlessly clean.

This is an absolutely fabulous place. The house itself has been beautifully decorated, the beds are really comfy and the showers are warm and powerful. The most amazing thing about the house is the view. The pictures really do not do the place justice. The view is to Brownsea island and Sandbanks, but it is just lovely to see the boats sailing by as well. Directly in front of the house is a promenade that takes you to Poole Quay one way, and to Poole Harbour/ Sandbanks the other. There is a huge park nearby for dog walks too. A few minutes walk away is the Quay in which you can get boats out to Brownsea Island, or out on day trips as well as crabbing from the quayside. Loads of restaurants and cafes are a short walk away and the beaches are a short drive away. This really is a wonderful place, with so much to do nearby.
